Bhutan Trout Farming, a company established in 2020 by Bhal Kumar. The company, located in Bongo Gewog near Gedu Chhu in Chukkha Dzongkhag, Bhutan, specializes in trout farming. This initiative was motivated by Kumar’s joblessness during the pandemic and an inspiration to provide high-nutrition fish with health benefits, particularly for pregnant women and menstruating girls.
The primary challenge for Bhutan Trout Farming is the local community’s traditional beliefs and concerns about the potential negative impact of trout farming on local ecosystems and traditional fishing practices. Additionally, there is a lack of knowledge and awareness about the benefits of trout farming, making it difficult to obtain community clearance for the business.
The proposed solution to these challenges involves a multifaceted approach that includes community engagement programs, promotion of sustainable practices, investment in local employment and training, and partnering with local organizations. These initiatives aim to build trust and support within the community by considering cultural sensitivity, economic benefits, and sustainability.
Chapcha Thada Menchhu, a newly established business in 2022 by Mr. Chencho Gyeltshen. Located near the Chapcha highway, this venture provides hot stone bath services using medicinal water from Thada Goenpa. The business was founded to address the difficulties visitors faced in preparing for hot stone baths at the holy site, aiming to offer a convenient and therapeutic experience to both locals and tourists.
The primary challenge for Chapcha Thada Menchhu is promotion, particularly due to its remote location and lack of awareness among potential customers. This challenge stems from its physical location and makes reaching its target audience difficult.
To address this, the proposed solution includes a comprehensive marketing and promotional strategy. This strategy involves digital marketing through social media and influencer collaboration, referral and social link programs with nearby monastery visitors, special pilgrim packages, offering discounts, and deploying brochures and signboards for greater visibility. These measures aim to enhance awareness, attract more customers, and establish Chapcha Thada Menchhu as a trusted provider of hot stone bath services.

The institute, known for its cutting-edge methods, plays a vital role in the local economy and nutrition. To overcome these challenges, the institute proposes several solutions: collaborating with the government and educational institutions to increase course awareness, enhancing digital marketing through social media and influencer partnerships, and utilizing success stories as marketing tools. One Stop Information and Service Center, founded by Sunil Ghalley in 2021 in Gedu, Bhutan, offers a range of services including tax filing, business license renewal, and comprehensive government-to-citizen services. The business, operating as the sole provider in its region, faces a significant challenge due to a shortage of human resources, impacting its ability to offer reliable and diverse services.
To address this, the business plans to implement a strategic HR recruitment approach.
